Yowza, Yowza, Yowza!* It's Pizza Time!
It's MC Ward Activity time again! This Friday evening, June 2nd, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, we'll be eating an awesome pizza dinner and playing games in the ward's "backyard," Pioneer Park (weather permitting).
Have any fun outside toys or games you'd like to bring? Please do (I'm bringing my Frisbee)! Also, please bring blankets or chairs to sit on so your family will have a cozy spot to sit.
SEE YOU THERE!
*Yes, we have a Richie Cunningham fan in the ward.

Works For Me Wednesday
Some of the girls out there in Blogger Land participate in this fun weekly thing called "Works For Me Wednesday," where they share tips that make their lives easier. Today I found an awesome one: a monthly dinner menu & shopping plan. It's a simple idea, but I found it quite earth-shattering. Here you go.

YOU'RE FIRED!
The MC ward Bishopric and the stake presidency, apparently having watched too many episodes of "The Apprentice," slapped on their Donald Trump wigs and cleaned some major house during Sacrament on Sunday. (shudder - Donald Trump wigs...)
Due to the Keith & Carol K. family moving out of the ward next month, a hole was left in the bishopric, so Cary C. will be taking Keith's place and we know he'll do a great job. (Keith and Carol, see what you started!) Cary, the former Elders Quorum president, was released with his presidency, which consisted of Brian (my hubby), Jon (Zeearah's hubby) and Jon (Jotumn's hubby). Dan W. and Ryan (White Shores' hubby) comprise the new Elders Quorum presidency so far (I heard all this secondhand, since I spent Mother's Day with my family - corrections are welcome). Congratulations to Cary, Dan, and Ryan, and Vancouver Sisters' condolences to their wives.
Sarah O. was added to the Young Women's organization, necessitating her release as compassionate service leader in the Relief Society; and I was released from the enrichment night leader calling. I enjoyed the calling and will miss it and the sisters I worked with, but this release has been a long time coming. To quote the bishop, "It's a huge calling" (the funniest vote of confidence I've ever heard a bishop give a newbie), so I can't wait to see who my replacement will be.
With all the ward members currently trying to relocate, it'll be interesting to see what other "clean sweeps" occur in the next few weeks and months. What better incentive to make sure you're on time to Sacrament meeting? Don't be late - you might miss something! And for heaven's sake DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!
